Jacob is a personal trainer and run coach with 3Click Fitness who has been a passionate runner for over 10 years and has completed a wide variety of races from the 5k to the 50 mile range. As a personal trainer and run coach, Jacob helps individuals improve their strength, flexibility and mobility in the weight room, while also crafting run programs to help clients cross the finish line of their next big race. Jacob is certified through The National Academy of Sports Medicine as a personal trainer and has his run coaching certification through USA Track & Field.

my name is jacob oak i’m from watertown

minnesota and i am a personal trainer

and run coach here at three foot fitness

i went to the university of minnesota

and after college i got certified to be

a personal trainer through the national

academy of sports medicine and then i

also got my run coaching certification

through usa track and field i obviously

love fitness running has been a huge

part of my life but beyond that music is

probably what i tell people i’m

second most passionate about and then i

like to first begin a lot too the

majority of the people i work with are

runners so injury prevention for runners

working on keeping them strong so you

get through the next long run upcoming

races things like that however i do have

a bunch of different clients that work

on general wellness weight loss things

like that too my favorite part about

being a trainer is all the wonderful

people i get to meet uh not only do i

have to help them reach their goals but

it’s been really cool seeing the

20-plus people that have come into my

life in the past year and helping them

like i said reach their goals and also

getting to know them on my mortgage

personal level has been really fun my

proudest moment as a trainer was

actually just last week when a client

mentioned to me how she sometimes has

bad days

but every time she comes in she believes

in a better mood than she was when she

came in

and knowing i get to be that person who

brightens other people’s moods and days

makes me really happy my favorite part

about working for free click fitness is

the team even though we don’t see each

other every single day just because of

our schedules it seems like every single

trainer i could have i could easily have

an hour-long conversation with and just

get along with very well outside of work

and it almost seems like friends words

of advice if you’re looking to get

started out of your fitness journey just

start i know it’s extremely cliche to

say that but truly you don’t have to go

and start doing six days of hard

exercise every week start with the walk

from there build up slowly

it’s much easier to build a solid

routine when you start from a smaller

place first and build up from there
