I have been in athletics for most of my life between playing football and lacrosse in High School and College, to taking every gym class available. I knew I was going to do something in physical activity and that led me to getting a degree in Exercise Science from the University of Wisconsin – River Falls. I enjoy working with people to help make fitness a major part of their life and to be able to help people reach their goals. I have had the opportunity to work with a large range of people, going from D1 sprinters to someone trying to build back after injury. Over the years I have come to enjoy helping people to correct their aches and pains by making sure they move better through exercise. I work with runners to help them become more efficient in their running and to improve their strength and endurance in the muscles to help prevent wear and tear injuries.

my name is patrick shields from anoka
minnesota and my position is a personal
trainer at three click fitness i
graduated from river falls with a degree
in exercise science
and i’m certified as a dazzled personal
trainer my biggest hobbies and passions
are fitness obviously in my free time
especially during the summer i love to
go fishing so i’m trying to just wind it
down i’ll just sit down and watch some
tv shows or play some video games just
to relax i’d say my specializations as a
personal trainer would be weight loss
and strength training as well as
movement for runners and athletes so
that they’re moving more efficiently and
pain-free i think my favorite part about
being a trainer is definitely being able
to see people go through their journey
from start to finish and seeing how
people react when they are able to do
something that they weren’t first able
to do and usually the work apparel is
pretty nice too my proudest moment as a
trainer has just been any time
somebody is is just able to do something
that they weren’t able to do my favorite
part about working at three click
fitness is just the people that we get
to interact with on a daily basis being
able to meet so many different kinds of
people from a lot of different walks of
life has been really rewarding
definitely eye-opening too just helps
you see the world a little bit better my
best advice for someone starting on
their fitness journey is to just be
patient it’s a long journey most things
that you see and success that you see
behind the scenes is years in the making
so you just got to be patient take it
one day at a time and just make sure
that you’re getting a little bit better
each and every day
